Delivery INFORMATION
Firewood Express will deliver with no shipping charges to any UK mainland address (including the Highlands & The Isle of Skye). We can arrange delivery to some Islands at an additional charge, please contact us if you live off of the mainland.
DELIVERY DATE SELECTOR
Pleae choose your preferred target delivery date when checking out. Our Courier successfully complete delivery on the requested date on the majority of occassions however please be mindful that the delivery date is a GUIDE NOT A GUARANTEE. Please bear this in mind if booking time off work etc.
Please allow a day or two either side of your target date for delivery to occur. If you suspect you will not be present on day of delivery please leave a note when placing an order to inform us you are happy for the courier to leave your pallet without a signature. Your Firewood is delivered in showerproof packaging so can be exposed to the elements for a period of time if you are not present at time of delivery.
HOW YOUR FIREWOOD IS DELIVERED
Your Firewood is delivered on a pallet via tail-lift & pallet trolley. This means you must have FLAT, HARD GROUND for the trolley to work on. The delivery terms are to kerb-side only however if you have accessable property and amendable ground conditions we have found many drivers will place your pallet where requested if it is achievable. Please note this is not to be expected. Pallet pumps cannot operate on chipped stones, mud, grass, gravel or other uneven surfaces. Please ensure you have a suitable area for the courier to deliver to.
Your firewood is delivered by an 18 tonne truck (around the size of a larger bin lorry). Your street must be accessible (including turning space if required) for a vehicle of this size.
HIGHLANDS, ISLANDS & REMOTE AREAS
Please note we don’t charge more for Highland deliveries but they do carry a different service. Because of the sparse nature of the habitation, the delivery routes do not necessarily coincide with your target delivery date. They can arrive up to 2 days before or after your target date. We request that the delivery partner book in with you, but we are aware this is not always possible.
DELIVERY TIMINGS
Our courier deliver from 0800-1800 hours Monday to Friday. Please remember that someone has to be the last delivery of the day. We do ask the drivers to call in advance but this is at the discretion of the driver. When ordering please leave a working telephone number you can be contacted by the courier.

- Gowanbank Farms Ltd does everything it can to ensure that the goods are delivered promptly. However, time shall not be of essence in relation to your contract with Gowanbank Farms Ltd, and late delivery shall not affect the contract with Gowanbank Farms Ltd. If Gowanbank Farms Ltd is aware of any anticipated lengthy delay in the delivery of the goods you have ordered, Gowanbank Farms Ltd will attempt to contact you and keep you advised of the likely date for delivery.
